Romain hails from Montpellier, France and cut his teeth as a photographer and art director in the French Indie music scene before moving into directing. He quickly made waves in the world of music promos with award winning work for Dizzee Rascal and Skepta, Kekra, Vitalic and some innovative interactive videos for Naïve New Beaters which earned him a raft of accolades. His talent for turning the humble music promo into epic mini-movies segued neatly into the world of commercials, where Romain has further developed his bold cinematic style. His work for brands like Hermès, Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton, Winamax, Sega and Schweppes demonstrate his penchant for rich world building, genre mash-ups, off-kilter characters and fast-paced dark comedy. It’s easy to see why Romain has his eye on feature films, and we’re excited to see where his imagination will take us next.
